Sadly passing on  the below that was sent to Andy Larkin today from CSM Marschall’s son, Tim.  Andy and Tim have worked together over the years in construction.   Joe was an amazing man, leader and mentor to so many soldiers of 3-144 FA, DivArty and the Division where he held position of CSM.  
Please feel free to pass this along to anyone that knew this great man.

I am with a heavy heart in sending you this message since you told me on several occasions how much my Dad meant to you, but I have to inform you that my Dad passed away yesterday peacefully here at my home in Pacific Palisades.  

I am reaching out to let you early to let you know his services will be on June 24th at 12:30 at the holy cross cemetery in Culver City.   I will be sending announcements, but wanted to reach out to you as soon as possible. 

I really hope you can make it.  He always had so many wonderful things to say about you. 

I wanted to know if you might know of any military network group informing the guard of his passing.   

In addition is there anyone specifically that I should contact directly and may want to attend.   

Also, I did provide Holy Cross with his military discharge records so there will be military personnel to play taps and present the flag, but I was wondering if there may be anything else I should consider.
